Anybody know how to apply pencil eye-liner...?

I'm good at applying liquid liner, but I SUCK at applying pencil liner... I can't get it close to the lash line like i can w. the liquid. Also, it makes my eyes look really small. Anybody got any tips to make it look good??Anybody know how to apply pencil eye-liner...?
i use it to line my inside bottom, inside top and outside top lash lines. the inside ones especially the top ones are tricky because they can tickle if you dont do them regularly =P I just assume you're trying to do the outside top, so pull your eyelid tight and run a sharpened pencil as close as you can get it to your eyelashes, partially in them if you can. go slow dont try and do it in one stroke and start thin and make a wider line as you get to the outside corner of your eye. you can start about 1/4 of the way out from the inside of your eye and go out if you like too. the nice thing about pencil liner is that if you screw up you can make it smudgy and smokey and still look hot! but if that happens do the bottom too, and add coordinating eyeshadow. hope i helped!Anybody know how to apply pencil eye-liner...?
go and piss in ur eye so it burns and u dont have to wear liner again Report Abuse

visit this website. go to the 'virtual makeover' button. it should tell you not only what colors look good on you but also how to apply them.
First of all, don't apply the eyeliner ALL the way around your eye; this will make your eyes appear smaller. Leave the inner corners of your eyes free of any dark eyeliner, and this will open up your eyes.

To apply pencil liner, start out by making sure the tip of the pencil is sharp. If needed, touch the tip of the liner to your hand to warm it up and make it go on easier. Now, slightly stretch your eyelid horizontally by placing your finger at the side of your eye and pulling gently. Finally, do your best to apply the liner as closely as possible to your upper and lower lash lines.

Good Luck!
if your doing it on the top just get the pencil sharp and place your finger on the outside corner of your eye and kind of pull it so your eye is squinty then do it...it works alot better...
i first use the tip of the pencil and line the bottom part of my lid ( like the part that touches your other lid when you blink, where you bottom eyelashes come off of) then i go back and do it at the tip of my bottem lashes.
you're making your eyes look smaller because you're applying it all the way around your eye. only apply to the bottom lash line and leave the inside corner open. keep the pencil super-sharp. and apply to your eye OVER the lashes, not form underneath. and keep a bottle of eye make-up remover and some q-tips around in case you screw up.
Just easily pull your lower lining down and gently press on your lining. If you want the more natural look use a brown pencil. Sometimes i even use eyeshadow. I dampen the tip of a small brush, and gently put it in brown or black eyeshadow and it works just as good.

Good Luck
I usually make sure the pencil is really sharp and apply it on top of eyeshadow
Well, i think you should just put a little first. Dont put to much on cuz then it looks 2 much. Also, this is wat i learned from full house. DJ was tryin to look older so she put on like 10 million pounds on make up on her facen Rebecca told her dat da best way to work wid make up is make it look like ur not wearing it. But yea, just put a little 1st and c how dat works. Gud luck =)
Make it thicker to make your eye look bigger, and streach your eye out like you are asian to apply it, this will give it a fuller effect
I'm, just the opposite. Try to pull the outside corner of your eyelid to make the upper eyelid taut. Then, in tiny back-and-forth motions, work the eyeliner into the lash line. If you want a smokier look, work some very dark brown eyeshadow onto a eyeshadow brush and work it into the lash line. Also, draw the line from one corner to the other. Only drawing a partial line will make your eyes seem smaller, thus defeating the purpose of eye liner.
smudge it below....?
its easy do the same thing with liquid eyeliner and dont get it in your eyeand you dont have to wait for it to dry
Well, if you're going for big eyes, make sure your eyeliner is on the outside of your eye. On the bottom, draw the liner on the flat of your lid, not below the eyelashes. If that doesn't work, try drawing it right in the eyelash part. On the top, for bigger looking eyes, either only put on eyeliner on the outer part of the eye, or make it thicker on the outer part. The top is a little more difficult, just make sure you're only using the tip of the pencil and not the whole length of it.
