Does black mascara, and eye liner make your eyes look bigger?

I have dark brown hair and eyes, that actually look black. I want to wear black eye liner, and mascara to make my eyes look bigger. Will that make them look bigger or smaller?Does black mascara, and eye liner make your eyes look bigger?
Eyeliner and marcara don't really make eyes look bigger or smaller; they outline eyes in order to make them stand out.

i have eyes just like yours,,,very, very dark. i use brown pencil during the day (not so dramatic) and black in the evening,,,black mascara all the time,,,
black eyeliner does not but mascara does. i recommend white eyeliner. it really opens up your eyes. instead of putting it on the outside of you eye, place it right where your eyelashes start, if you know what i mean. it looks really pretty!
Yes it does. It draws more attention to your eyes, and the color of your eyes--the overall effect is that your eyes are bigger.





I see the (totally positive) difference every morning when I put mine on to highlight my green eyes!





So use them both. Black is the best for any eyes. It's the eye shadow that is different (depends on your color of eyes and skin tone)

It doesn't make them look bigger. It just enhances them. One thing that does for me is I use a white shimmer on my brow bone, right beneath my eyebrows.
it will make them look huge! Think of it as your eyelashes are hidden....';painting'; them black with mascara will make them re-appear! And the eyeliner just defines your eyes. it makes them look more natural and less makeup-y if you only wear it on the top OR the bottom. but both looks nice too.

Since you're coloring is dark it's ok to use the dark makeup. But you want to put the liner beneath the lower lash thinly, not above it. And the upper lash just smudge it into the lash line.





Mascara is good to follow w/ %26amp; it does open the eyes as well.
